Christien "Erwin" Schell
Peacefully passed away on Nov. 3, 2017 in White Rock, BC.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Marcia (Palmer) Schell and Hilje Jordens.
Will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Natalie (Gord) Kroeker, siblings Margot (Sieb) Koopmans and Inge Schlahmilch and Rob Jordens.
Step children, Daryl (Steve) Madill, Bob (Wendy) Madill, Barb (Brad) Kilburn & Jamie (Jackie) Madill.
Beloved grandchildren, Seth, Ryder, Kyle, Kelsey, Evan, Martine, Bailey, Harry, Conor & Tyler & his nieces & nephews near & far.
Born & raised in the Netherlands, Erwin immigrated to Canada in 1957 with friends. Erwin was working as a bartender & bodybuilding was his passion. He met & married his first wife, Lia Schell in 1965 in Calgary. Started a family in 1973 & then moved to BC in 1979.
Erwin worked in the food & beverage industry his entire career. He had a taste for fine food & drink.
In 1990 he married his second wife, Marcia in Harrison, while living in Vancouver & eventually moved to sunny White Rock. They enjoyed trips to Mexico, cruising & spending time with their family.
Erwin will be most remembered for his infectious big smile and walking all over White Rock.
Erwin's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Evergreen Baptist Care Home in White Rock for their compassionate care.
An intimate celebration of life will be held for his family & close friends in the near future to toast his life.
