Clare (Batten) Breitenstein passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday October 4, 2002.
Clare is survived by her daughter Tammy and husband Bill Timms, and beloved grandchildren Braeden, Abbey and Katie of Victoria, B.C., daughter Elainah Breitenstein and Brad Vandale of White Rock, B.C., sister Rae Brooks and nephews Paul, Brent (Becky) and Chad Brooks of St. Paul, Minnesota. Predeceased by parents Lorne and Elaine Batten of Woodmore, Manitoba.
Thanks to Clare's many friends, cousins, neighbours and co-workers for their loving support. Special thanks to Dr. Derek Lowe, staff at Peace Arch Hospital and the Fraser Valley Cancer Clinic.
Clare's kindness, generosity, strength of spirit, and love of life will be sadly missed by all.
There will be no memorial service at her request. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
