Clarence Emery (Bud) Fair

February 15, 2007

Fair, Clarence Emery (Bud)

Bud was born on April 15th, 1935 in Hythe, Alberta.

He moved to B.C. at the age of nine. Bud was a long time member of the Operating Engineers Local 115 and one of the most skilled in his area of heavy equipment operation.

Bud is survived by his wife Barbara Dawn, son Michael (Tricia), daughter Laurie, adult grandchildren Joe and Danielle, and his youngest grandchild Emily Rose MacMillan.

He loved all of his family in his gruff manner but Emily Rose was his shining star as he took care of her since she was six months old along with help from Dawn. They spent many hours watching Emily grow up to her current age of nine years old. The three of them traveled together to Disneyland, San Diego and Hawaii and they were to have spent this February in Mexico but unfortunately that was not to be.

After retirement Bud kept up with what was going on in the field of construction, he also enjoyed landscaping and gardening. Bud traveled extensively through his life with his wife Barbara.

After a very devastating battle with lung cancer Bud passed away at 12:45 am on Thursday, February 15th, 2007.

The family wishes to thank Emily's Dad Jeff MacMillan for staying with Bud at the hospital, Dr. G. Roberts, Dr. Lowe and all the nurses and care workers in Palliative Care at Peace Arch Hospital, they couldn't have been kinder or more caring.

No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Ward at Peace Arch Hospital.
