Clemens WELLMEIER

May 27, 2007

WELLMEIER, Clemens Adolf

Born April 14, 1917, died peacefully on May 27, 2007 with his family by his side. Clem was part of that hardy group who left Europe after World War II to start a better life in his new country Canada.

Clem's excellent work ethic was recognized by all who knew him. In 1966 Clem moved his family to the White Rock area where he continued working in an autobody garage while he and his wife Trudy started a business - C & T Azalea Nursery. He loved working in the garden, propagating plants in his greenhouse, transplanting cuttings, and selling to his loyal clients. What ever Clem did, he did well. Clem enjoyed many trips in his retirement years, travelling to Europe and seeing sights throughout North America. Clem will be missed by Trudy, his wife of 62 years, his daughters Ingrid and Ute (Hans), and his grandchildren Wanda, Markus, Galen, Leandra and Koren. Also survived by his son, Hartmut. A Celebration of Clem's life will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Pacific Carlton Retirement Resort, 15366 - 17th Avenue, South Surrey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada for research.
