Colleen passed peacefully after fighting a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She is also survived by her twin sister Carolyn Fraser and her husband Bob, as well as her younger sisters Christine and Debbie, all of Edmonton, AB, as well as brother-in-law Ken Loveridge and his wife Sue of Vernon, BC, and sisters in-law Denise Langelier of Sept-Iles, QC, and Jenny Young-Loveridge of Hamilton, New Zealand.
She leaves behind nine nieces and nephews: June Nelson, Michael Fraser, Christian Hunt, Blair Fraser, Jessica Gareau, David Loveridge, Mark Loveridge, Ian Loveridge, and Helen Loveridge.
Colleen Anne Hunt was born to Martha Hunt, nee Dawson, on November 27, 1944 in Ottawa, ON. She was raised in Ottawa and Kingston, ON, with her three sisters and brother. She married Albert Lee Loveridge on April 4, 1964 after a courtship that humorously started after Lee approached Colleen and her friend Judy as an MP under the guise of a curfew violation.
They spent time in Kingston, Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Prince George, and Calgary before finally settling in White Rock, BC, in 1992 to enjoy the seaside lifestyle.
Colleen had a long and accomplished career as a Financial Planner, working for CIBC over many years wherever she lived. She was highly trusted and valued by her clients, often bringing home the many gifts and home-cooked specialties they shared with her. She was continuously enrolled in professional development courses to improve her career, and always excelled.
Colleen joined her husband in retirement in 2011 and spent many happy winters at the Valle del Oro community in Mesa, AZ, with their lifelong friends Cam and Judy Inglis from Kingston, ON.
Colleen was very active throughout her life. She curled regularly with her friends Linda Saunders and Sue Baumeler at the Peace Arch Curling Club, and joined clubs wherever she lived, frequently serving as team skip.
She also enjoyed pickleball and golfing later in life. She was also very supportive of her family's active lifestyles, too. Her son fondly remembers her cheering at all of his soccer games growing up. Even years into her battle with Alzheimer's she would still ask Lee, "What am I playing today?"
Colleen is predeceased by her brother Gerald Hunt who passed in 1977, her mother Martha Hunt, who passed in 2005, her father-in-law Albert Loveridge who passed in 2008, her mother-in-law Anna Loveridge who passed in 2014, and her brother-in-law Donald Loveridge, who passed in 2015.
Colleen was cremated with the intent to spread her ashes at some of the vacation spots she enjoyed most, in Arizona, Maui, and Lake Okanagan. A small service is planned for May 16, 2021, and a virtual celebration of life will be held later that day for family and friends around the world.
