Cornelis ("Case") de Mooy

November 5, 1932 - December 10, 2003. A personable and passionate man who left an indelible impression on all who knew him. Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he was a Civil Engineer who in 1968 immigrated to Canada, where he supervised many large construction projects including the Pengrowth Saddledome for the XV Olympic Games. In his retirement, Cornelis was an avid skier, beloved sailing instructor, skilled table tennis player, and a talented potter and painter. Cornelis is survived by his loving wife, Junko; sisters Nel and Marian; children Kees, Caroline, Nick and Petra; and grandchildren Sam and Alex. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 17 at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28th Avenue, Surrey.
