Crawford William (Crawf) McLennan

July 4, 1940 - July 4, 2022
It is with great sadness that Elly announces the passing of her beloved husband, Crawford William McLennan. Crawford was predeceased by his parents Jean and Crawford Sr McLennan of Surrey, BC and daughter Brenda of 70 Mile House, BC.
He is survived by his loving wife Elly of South Surrey, daughter Tammy and son-in-law Steve of 100 Mile House, brother Lloyd and sister-in -law Jeanette of Williams Lake, sister Marilyn Dishon of Blind Bay, four grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, nieces, nephews, Elly's entire family, and his very "special friends and family" at Forest Ridge and Squirt.
Crawford was born in Vancouver however, when his parents bought a resort with a gas station in the Cariboo region in McLeese Lake in 1958, he moved up North to help his parents with the family business. He returned to the Lower Mainland where he was employed by the City of Surrey in Roads and Drainage for 29 years. Crawf had a passion for stock car racing, woodworking, loved to dress up as Santa Claus and give out presents. He was a great joke teller and always shared wonderful, wise one-liners.
In accordance with Crawf's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of Ashes will be held on July 26th, 2022 at 1pm at Valley View Cemetery, 14644 -72nd Ave, Surrey, BC.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 from 2 to 5pm at Forest Ridge Amenity Room, 14588 McDougall Dr, Surrey, BC.
In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations in Crawford's memory may be made to Covenant House.
