Sid grew up on Marine Drive in White Rock, BC. Sid attended H.T. Thrift Elementary, White Rock Junior Secondary, and graduated from Semiahmoo High School in 1986. Sid's father, Walter instilled in him a formidable work ethic and provided him with all the tools for self employment.
Sid was the only kid on the block to have a cell phone, the first anyone had ever seen, a Motorola in the bag. The first company Sid started while still in High School, was a cleanup and rubbish removal business which later included a furniture moving company.
"Affordable Sid" as he was known, enjoyed many years of business and wonderful clients in White Rock. A special client turned friend on one occasion gifted him a Cadillac. Sid enjoyed music, playing chess, his truck and car collection, socializing over coffee and hot sauce!!
He was polite, comical and very caring, characteristics that made him the best part of life. A True Friend and a blessing in our lives and community.
The Avigdor family have a long history in the White Rock area. Sid's grandmother Ada, taught school locally in the 1940's. Sid was predeceased by his father Walter and his uncle Harry. Sid is survived by his mother Moala, his uncle Jack, his sister Jennifer and his two nieces Krystal and Maya. Sid will be deeply missed by family and many friends.
