September 5, 1955 - February 21, 2025

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to David Burnside, who passed away in the comfort of his White Rock home on February 21st, 2025. David was a devoted friend, uncle, brother, husband, and father. Raised in Brandon, Manitoba, David embodied the spirit of "Friendly Manitoba" like no other. He was always up for a good time, and had a natural way of bringing people together, which is indicative of the dear friendships he has maintained since childhood.

A skilled handyman and lover of the outdoors, David spent his young adult years skiing, cooking up feasts on the bbq, soaking in the sun at Kits Beach, and exploring BC with his beloved dogs by his side. His career took him across many paths, with the latter part spent as a manufacturers' rep for Fore-Tenn Marketing.

But above all, David was a family man, carrying deep love for his siblings, Valerie, and Garth, and cherishing a strong bond with all of his nieces and nephews. His world revolved around his late wife, Lillian, and their daughter, Tessa. For the last 33 years, David helped build a beautiful life filled with joy and adoration for the three of them in White Rock.

We can all take comfort in knowing he's now dancing with Lillian forever (hopefully with some Bruce Springsteen playing in the background).

We will miss you every day, Bernie.
