David Lewis Turner

BASC, PEng.-passed away Tuesday morning April 4, 2006 at his home in Peace Portal Lodge, at the age of 83.

A dedicated husband and father, he is predeceased by his wife Caralynne, daughter Linda and brother Harold.

He is survived by children Shawn, Barb and Gwen; siblings Jeff, Joan and Doug; grandchildren Jessy and Casey along with numerous family members and friends.

In his youth, Dave obtained the rank of Troup Leader with the 4th New Westminster Troup and acting Scout Master for the 5th Troup.

Dave is a war veteran who served overseas with 519 Squadron as a pilot during WWII.

Afterwards he earned an aeronautic engineering degree and spent his working years evenly split with AVRoe, Bell Aerospace and DeHavilland.

Dave had a great appreciation for the outdoors.

Many summers were spent with family and friends at “Driftwood”.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2006 at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 – 28th Avenue, Surrey. Interment to follow.

Dave’s wish would be that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ducks Unlimited or Trans-Canada Trail.
