With sadness we announce the passing of David Ross Curry, age 81, surrounded by his family in White Rock, B.C., on February 26, 2018. Born November 17, 1936, in Montreal, Quebec, David was the second of three children of the late Rufus and Margaret Curry.
David began his career in the investment business in the 1950's with A.E.Ames & Co. He started in "the cage" at Ames, and progressed from being a bond trader in Montreal to being Vice President & Director of sales in Toronto. In 1957 David met Grace Gillingham, a student nurse at Montreal General. It was love at first sight; they wed on October 1st, in Morin Heights, Quebec.
In retirement they moved to White Rock to be closer to their grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Grace, daughters, Carolyn Armstrong (Ian) and Nancy, son, Drew, sister, Isabelle Fraser, brother predeceased Rick (Ruth), grandchildren, Rebecca and Duncan.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Peninsula United Church, #2756 127th Street, Surrey, BC, V4A 6L5.
