Denis Beechinor

December 6, 1996

BEECHINOR, Patrick Denis of Crescent Beach/South Surrey.

Dad died today (Dec 6/06) exactly as he wanted - at home with his kids and wife of 59 years, Shirley. He was born November 9, 1925 in Moose Jaw, Sask to John and Ann Beechinor. Dad was one of ten children. His eldest brother, Tom was killed in WWII. His siblings are Jack, Mary and Lillian (deceased) and Peg, Ann, Bob, Eileen and Father Ron.

Dad served 25 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, R.C.E. until his retirement in 1967. He and Mom and their four children then moved to Vancouver.

Dad was extremely proud of his children, Dr. Linda (RN), married to Leonard Victorino (Hawaii): Tom (LLB), married to Lindsay (Vancouver); Susan (Mum), married to Jim Carter (White Rock) and Kathleen (RN), married to Bob Sarson (Hawaii). The joy of Dad's life was his grandchildren; Patrick, Kelsey and Andrew (Tom and Lindsay) and the twins, Michael and Elizabeth (Susan and Jim) and Colin and Claire (Kathleen and Bob). They kept Dad going through his fourteen year battle with cancer and battle he did, never complaining and barely slowing down for treatment.

A very special thank you to Mark

Rawlins for being such a supportive friend and to Dr. Brenda Hefford for her incredible care.

A funeral mass will be said at Holy Cross Church, 12268 Beecher Avenue, Crescent Beach at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2006 by Father Ron Beechinor.

"For the Good Times, Dad,

it's been a hoot!"
