December 20, 1923 - October 3, 2006.
It is with great sadness that the family of Derreck Philpot announce his passing on October 3rd, 2006 at Peace Arch Hospital at the age of 82.
He is survived by his three children Michael (Ann and their children Katrina and Cole); Jane (Greg and their children Melissa, Stephanie and David) and Suzanne (Guy and their children William and Rachel); relatives and many great friends. Derreck will be remembered for his charm, kindness, generosity, great outlook on life, love of nature and his sense of humour.
He was a very special person and a real gentleman.
Special thanks to Dr. A. MacDonald, Dr. R. Leonard, the nurses in I.C.U. and on the 4th floor at Peace Arch Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
