October 6, 2006

Woodin, Diane Faye

(nee Isherwood)

January 3, 1943 - October 6, 2006

Survived by her beloved husband Willard (Bill) Woodin, her children Lorraine, Nadene and Ross, grandson Aiden, sisters Donna and Linda, and her much-loved nieces and nephews, Susan, Tanis, Chris and Daryl, cousin Patty and aunt Ray, and friends Margaret, Susan and Lee. Diane was born in Vancouver, and grew up in Burnaby and White Rock, where she worked as a realtor. Following the death of her mother, Doris Isherwood, in 1994, Diane moved to Vancouver to be closer to her children. There she met Bill Woodin, the love of her life, with whom she spent many happy years, and who remained constant by her side through illness, until she died suddenly of complications due to diabetes. She married Bill on July 30 of this year, surrounded by his children John, Irene and Randall, their partners and children, who had made her feel a much-loved part of their family. Diane will be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby, next to her loving father, George Isherwood. Services at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 12, followed by a celebration of her life to be held in Vancouver. Many thanks to doctors and staff at St. Paul's Hospital and St. Vincent's Langara for their comfort and care.
