Dixie left us on December 5th after a short, unexpected fight against cancer. Dixie leaves behind daughters Sandy (Keith), Tracy (Rob), Son Dan (Karen); Grandchildren Madison, Katie, Gabe, Chase and Ben. She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. Dixie was born in Saskatchewan, spending her early years on the Prairies and moving to Langley in her teens. She worked at Imperial Oil where she met Rod whom she married and started a family with. Dixie and Rod moved to White Rock in 1967 where they were well known and active in the community. They moved to Osoyoos in 1996 where they again became involved in the community, enjoying new friends and their home on the lake. Dixie was an amazing cook and artist, famous for her Sunday night dinners where friends were always welcome. She golfed, enjoyed travelling and entertaining. Family was truly the most important thing in her life and we will miss her love, support and sense of humour. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
