December 8, 1930 - April 29, 2018
Dolores loved White Rock and the ocean and was happy to retire here in 1993, as did her parents in the 1960's. She was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Dauphin but saw much of Canada in her lifetime.

Dolores was a born teacher which became her life's work. She especially enjoyed teaching communications to adults as a Life Skills Coach Trainer. She taught in many environments - from a one-room schoolhouse in MB to native and Inuit communities in SK and the NWT, for which she had a strong connection. She also served as one of the first female officers in the Royal Canadian Airforce, as a Fighter Jet Air Traffic Controller. Dolores was a strong woman of adventure who loved her family, grandkids and pets, could always give you good advice and sent you cards for all occasions. She will be missed.

She leaves behind her daughter Tonya (Zarlengo) of CO, and son David (Rehder) of CT, his wife Allegra and their children Rylee and Boden. 'Dodie', will also be missed by her twin sisters Elaine (and Fernand Lanteigne) of Montreal and Eleanor (and Terry Smythe) of Winnipeg. She is pre-deceased by her parents Louise and Joseph Wach.

Her family gives a special thanks to everyone at Morgan Heights for taking care of Mom.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to join the family at the gravesite at Valley View Cemetery at 14644 - 72nd Ave., Surrey, BC, Tuesday, January 15th at 2 pm.
