Born in Moose Jaw, Sask. Mar. 23, 1921

Passed Peacefully on Dec. 11, 2007

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a Dear and Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle & Dear Friend. He is predeceased by his twin sons Richard, Robert and Brother Alfred. Donald is survived by his loving wife Elaine of 59 years. Three sons, Michael (Wendy), Alan (Rochelle), Graham (Amber), 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, Sister Helen, Brother Jack (Barbara), Sister Suzanne, as well as extended family members & friends. Donald served 3 active years of Army service in Holland & England during WW II, re-enlisted in 1948 with the Canadian Airforce and dedicated himself for 27 years at which point retiring was not in his future. Donald then joined the Ministry of Transportation and Highways where he once again retired after 10 years. This time retirement was at Salt Spring Island with the eagles, squirrels & deer where Donald and Elaine enjoyed many years on the waterfront before finally settling down to where it all began 60 years ago. All are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday December 18, 2007 @ 1:30 p.m at Holy Cross Church, 12268 Beecher Street, Crescent Beach, B. C.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Donald may be made to the “Canadian Wildlife Federation” or another charity of your choice.
