February 12, 1936 - May 17, 2025

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Donna-Mae Moore on May 17, 2025, at Peace Arch Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James in 2003.

Born in Edmonton, Donna-Mae moved at an early age to Vancouver where she flourished academically, ultimately earning her Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of British Columbia, and dedicated her career to teaching.

Donna-Mae shared many cherished years with her husband James, the love of her life. Together they enjoyed winters in Yuma, Arizona, where they particularly loved hiking in the desert landscape. Their family was completed by their beloved dogs Patches, Suzi, and Beau, who brought immense joy to their lives.

A passionate philanthropist, Donna-Mae's commitment to helping others continues through the James A. and Donna-Mae Moore Foundation, which is "dedicated to the relief of suffering and hardship" through supporting medical research into Parkinson's Disease and related neurodegenerative and movement disorders, services for animals in need, conservation and habitat protection, and providing basic necessities for people in societies lacking adequate support.

At Donna-Mae's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the James A. and Donna-Mae Moore Foundation c/o ScotiaWealth Management, 650 W Georgia Street, 5th Floor, Vancouver B.C. V6B 4N7.

Special thanks is extended to the staff at Crescent Gardens for their care and compassion.
