December 13, 1933 - January 1, 2020
Our beloved mom, Dorothy Ellen Nuthall (nee Annesley), passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on January 1, 2020 at the age of 86. Dorothy was born in Camrose, Alberta on December 13, 1933. Her husband, Geoffrey Nuthall, passed away just 6 short months before Dorothy and 3 months before their 64th wedding anniversary.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters, Lorna (Clay) Burgess, Pamela (Robert) Maxwell, her sister Carol (Ron) Brown, her brother John (Pat) Campbell, and her brother Alex (Diane) Campbell. She adored her grandchildren Kristyn (Allon) Ward and Stephanie (Aaron) Adkins, and her great-grandchildren Sophia and Lily, Emma and Nathan.
Geoff and Dorothy lived in Edmonton after they married, where Geoff worked as a Police Officer with the Edmonton Police force. Dorothy attended University in Edmonton, obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Education. They moved to South Surrey in 1968, where Dorothy worked as a librarian and a teacher in the Surrey School District, at Sunnyside Elementary, Thrift Elementary and Ray Shepherd Elementary Schools, where she was well loved by her co-workers and students. In retirement, she and Geoff enjoyed their new home, travelling in their motor home, and spending time with family. Dorothy organized family reunions and family gatherings as her family was the most important thing in her life. She will be deeply missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held for Dorothy, Geoffrey and Rexford Nuthall on April 18, 2020 from noon to 2:30 pm at Morgan Creek Golf Course, Surrey, BC.
