Dorothy FROEHLER

November 9, 2012

FROEHLER, Dorothy Lynne. On November 9, 2012 Dorothy Froehler of White Rock, BC passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Camrose, Alberta on June 8, 1940, and raised in the Camrose area. She later lived in Edmonton, AB and then White Rock, BC. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be remembered by her children Wanda Hoyle, Nancy (Bill) Bokla, and Dan Froehler; her sister Gloria; niece Jacqueline (Shawn) Kennedy and grand niece Madeline (who called her Nado). Known to her grandchildren as Nana, she will be deeply missed by Kristina, John, Daniel, Stephen and Tessa.

Dorothy was predeceased by her son Todd Jonathon Froehler (born October 3, 1962 and passed away on October 5, 1962 in Camrose, Alberta). Dorothy was a longtime supporter of the arts in Canada. She worked at and supported the CBC, volunteered in various organizations and was a lover of all mediums of art and music. She especially enjoyed travelling and had an avid interest in current affairs.

Dorothy, a woman of love and laughter, was happiest when surrounded by family and her many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

By her request there will be no memorial service. A special thank you goes to Bill & Jean Bokla for their generous support to the family.
