HOLLOWAY, Dorothy Joan Stuart. June 27, 1928 - Dec. 9, 2012. Joan Holloway of White Rock, BC, long time resident of Edmonton, Alberta was gathered on December 9th. Joanie was a lover of life. Her passion for animals was exhibited by her care of numerous dogs, horses, cats and a goose. Joan grew up in a mining area of northern Ontario as well as in Montreal. She married Robert Oliver Holloway in 1947 and moved to Alberta in 1950. Together, they established a successful paint business. During their 52 years of marriage, they travelled extensively around the world sharing many adventures & memories. Joan wrestled with Alzheimer's for over 13 years before she joined Bob for eternity!

Joan is survived by her sister Pat Keller, daughter Amanda Holloway, sons Robert (Tammy) and Drew (Donna), numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.

Joan's memorial tea was held on Dec. 12th at Westminster House.
