McBain, Douglas Keith (known to all as Doug) regretfully passed away on Aug. 2nd, 2004 in Vernon, BC due to complications from lung cancer. One of the sweetest souls to have lived he will be missed by all who knew him. Although born in Winnipeg, Doug grew up in Burnaby before marrying and moving back to the prairies (Calgary mostly). Doug's return to the coast brought him to White Rock where he brought his spirit and love for life to the community through his involvement in the White Rock Minor Hockey Association.
