Dr. Clifford Thomson BILLINGSLEY

BILLINGSLEY, Dr. Clifford Thomson, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2006 at the Finlay Pavilion of the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC. He is survived by Bernice Patricia, his wife of 58 years; his son Harry and wife Sue, their son John and daughter Trish in Sammamish, Washington; his son John and wife Genny and their daughter Katie and son Tim in Ottawa; and his son Kenneth and wife Heather in Calgary. Born January 13, 1916 in the Jeffrey Hale Hospital in Quebec City, he moved with his family to Victoria, BC in 1920. He attended Sir James Douglas High School and Victoria College at Craigdarroch Castle. He graduated from North Pacific College in Portland, Oregon in June 1940 with B.Sc. and D.M.D. degrees. During World War II, Cliff served with the Canadian Army Dental Corps from 1941 - 45 and saw service in Canada, England, North Africa, Italy and northwest Europe. He practiced his profession in Vancouver from 1946 - 1977 followed by retirement, moving to White Rock in 1989. As a long time member of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, Cliff dearly loved boating and fishing with his wife, sons and friends. An interment service by the Eight Bells Club, at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, will take place in conjunction with a service for his wife upon her death.
