Emerson, age 91, passed away at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock on February 18, 2020. Born in Montreal, Quebec on September 9, 1928 he studied Civil Engineering at McGill University. This led to a rewarding career working on construction projects around the world.
Emerson was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Eileen. He is survived by his daughters Louise, Debbie and Maria; his sisters Shirley, Marion, and Joan; his grandsons Eric, Luke, Simon, Nyman and Ronan; his partner of 10 years, Lil Long; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In retirement Emerson volunteered at Canadian Food for Children BC and White Rock Concerts. Emerson will be remembered for his quick wit, amiable nature and his adventurous spirit.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020, between 1 - 4 pm at Beecher Place, 12160 Beecher Street, Surrey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Canadian Food for Children, or the Peace Arch Hospital.
