Marvel - Edith June
June Marvel passed away on April 15, 2007 and is now at peace. June is survived by her daughter Brenda of Calgary, son Bill (Laura), and grandson Andrew of Ottawa, twin brother Cal (Betty) of Moose Jaw, nieces Deborah (Garth)
and Lynda (Darcy), nephew Graham
(Shelley). June was predeceased by her husband Neal of 56 years on October 31, 2006, her parents Emma and Bill Koehler and her brother Gordon. June was born June 1, 1929 in Krake, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm near Moose Jaw, graduated from Moose Jaw's teachers college and taught school. She married Neal in 1950 and the family moved several times within Saskatchewan until they accepted a transfer to Royal Bank's head office in Montreal in 1963. They retired to the White Rock area 25 years ago. June enjoyed welcoming new residents to the area for a newcomers club. June loved her family, home and garden. Music, art, church activities and picking flowers for her friends brought her happiness. June's life ended as she had wished in her own home with her daughter at her side. The family thanks Christine, Barb, Dr. Anderson, Biddy, and caring friends for their kindness and support. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, White Rock, B.C. at 2:30 PM on Thursday May 3, 2007. In lieu of flowers kindly make a donation to your favorite charity in remembrance of June.
