Edith Ogilvie (nee Miller)

Born in Campbellton, NB in 1920, passed away peacefully September 20, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Pre- deceased by Harvey Bird, infant son Stuart and her second husband, Willie Moores. Survived by her sister Ruth (Merle) and brother Bruce (Nell).

Edith will be sadly missed by sons Jim (Terry) and Bill (Lorraine) and her grandchildren Jennifer, Tom, Leslie and Julie, by her cousins, nieces and nephews and by Willie Moores’ daughters Kathleen and Allison and their families.

“EO” graduated in 1943 as a Registered Nurse from Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and joined the International Grenfell Association serving in St. Anthony and Cartwright, NL. Widowed in 1959, she moved to Campbellton and subsequently to White Rock, BC, where she resided since 1967. Her many friends will remember Edith as being very active in the life of her community and her church.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 28, at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Avenue, White Rock, British Columbia. (corner of Center and Buena Vista) V4B 1T6.

Edith gave generously to many worthy causes. Gifts may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
