NEWTON, Edward Alexander - passed away peacefully in White Rock on June 28, 2004 at 80 years of age. Ed is survived by Joyce, his loving wife of 54 years. He is also loved and missed by his children, Gail (Charles), Gary (Sheila), Barbara (Douglas) and Pamela, 10 grandchildren, brother Jim of Summerland, BC and many relatives and friends. Born in Summerland, BC on June 11, 1924, Ed served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy on convoy escort duty between Canada and the UK. He worked in sales in Vancouver until his retirement in 1984. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 8th at 2 pm at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 15115 Roper Avenue in White Rock.
