June 17, 1948 - March 28, 2021
Ed was born in Vancouver on June 17, 1948, and brought up in Ladner. His brother John, gave him his first guitar at the age of 11, and from then on, music was his salvation throughout his life. Most of his adult life was spent in his beloved White Rock, where he was a well known and talented guitar player and Busker.
Ed often performed in front of the 'Whale Wall' and at the White Rock Promenade and Pier. Ed and his music were very much a welcome part of the community.
Ed's collection of guitars and musical instruments will be donated to Options Community Services Society for use in various music programs. I'm sure Ed will still be joining in.
Thank you to Todd Kennedy of Options for your friendship and support of Ed over the last 15 years. Ed often shared the love and appreciation of his home at Hazel Villa and his connection to the White Rock community.
Donations in Ed's name can be made to the B.C. Cancer Society or Options Community Services Society.
