Born 22 August, 1913 in The Hague, The Netherlands passed away 07 June, 2005 in Middelburg, The Netherlands.
Betty was predeceased by her first husband Brigadier Andries Koeman of the Royal Dutch Police Force and her second husband Tiede (Ted) Boersma of White Rock, BC.
Betty leaves behind a daughter Elizabeth Koeman of Midhurst, ON and a son Albert Koeman(Irene) of White Rock, BC, grandson Robert Beekhuizen (Karen) of Calgary, AB, grandson Ralph Brookholmes (Stacy) of Ottawa, ON, granddaughter Jennifer Koeman of Guelph, ON, grandson Andrew Koeman of Saskatoon, SK, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Betty at the age 43, a single mother with two children immigrated to Canada in 1956, first settling in Dunnville, ON and then White Rock, BC in 1959 where she married her second husband Tiede.
Betty loved her adopted country, Canada, but could never fully break the tie with her birth country of Holland.
Betty would have been most happy if she could have lived in both countries simultaneously, now in passing may she find the common ground that will provide her peace and everlasting happiness.
