Elizabeth (Betty) Alto, age 94, peacefully completed her earthly journey on September 7, 2016. Betty was born June 15, 1922, to Albert and Eva Badgley of Melfort,Saskatchewan, Canada. Betty married William Alto on Oct. 18, 1943. She loved camping and sailing with her husband and children. She supported the Peace Arch Hospital “Superfluity”, loved Crewel embroidery, hugged grandkids and loved raccoons on the balcony of their Deep Cove home. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Alto Hewitt (son-in-law George Hewitt) and grandson Jason Donovan. She is survived by her husband of 73yrs, Bill Alto, her son Ron Alto of White Rock, BC. (Scotti Alto), her daughter Lyn Donovan of Bullhead City AZ (Jess Bembry), 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with more on the way. Betty’s family wishes to express their greatest appreciation to Morgan Place Residential Care, which provided Betty with peace and dignity as her health was failing. She smiled, she loved life!
