Our beloved Liz, wife (to Clark), mother (to Alan and Susan), sister (to Sharlene and Scott), aunt (to her nieces and nephews), mentor and friend to many passed away peacefully at home on January 24th in the presence of her family.
After experiencing many years of discomfort and pain and diminished quality of life, Liz chose medical assistance in dying (MAiD) to provide her with a peaceful death.
Born and raised in Toronto and trained as a Registered Nurse at Toronto General Hospital, Liz had a long and distinguished career in nursing, in particular geriatric. She wants all who knew her to remember the good times in her life, to live their lives to the fullest and when opportunity comes, to "pay it forward".
Liz requested that there be no flowers or memorial service but the next time her friends get together, they "lift a glass" to Liz and their memories of her.
