Elizabeth Jean (Bette) Thorsteinson. The family of Elizabeth Jean Thorsteinson wishes to announce the passing of Bette on Sunday, October 20, 2002 at Peace Arch Hospital. Bette leaves her husband, Bill, her daughter, Cindy Barrett, son-in-law, Chip Barrett, granddaughter, Lindsay and grandson, Tim.
Bette was born in Lansing Michigan in 1924. She grew up in Southern Saskatchewan and moved with her family to Langley, B.C. in 1936. Bette was very committed to Peace Arch Hospital; as President of the Auxilliary, Board Member, Director of volunteers, and Manager of Extended Care. In her retirement Bette enjoyed travelling, golf, her friends and family.
Her life will be celebrated at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation in Bette's name.
