WATSON
Ellen Jane Watson left us suddenly on February 3rd, 2012.
She will be deeply missed by her niece and grand-nephew (Jessie & Duncan of Oregon), by her many friends, and by the many people she has helped. Through her work as a leader in both the food and housing co-operative movements, a social worker, therapist, women's advocate, and lately as a hospice volunteer, Ellen dedicated herself to promoting social justice. During her lifetime, Ellen drew sustenance and inspiration from beauty in nature and the arts. On March 8, the White Rock Hospice Society held a tea in her honour. A celebration of Ellen's life will be held on May 27th beginning at Totem Housing Co-op, 2566 154th St., at 2:30pm and then moving to Peace Arch Park at 4:30pm. Those who wish to join us after 4:30pm at the Peace Arch Park can contact Dorothy beforehand at 604-531-6066 for directions. Donations may be made in Ellen's name to a charity of your choice.
