HARBOE, Elsie (Mayer)

Born August 11, 1910 in Stoke upon Trent, Hanley, Staffordshire, England. Elsie died peacefully July 11, 2007 at Weatherby Pavilion, White Rock, B.C. with friend Barb at her side.

She moved to Canada as a young child and grew up in Saskatchewan with brothers Ed and Steve. After she married Jack Moffat they moved to British Columbia. After Jack's death, Elsie married Carl Harboe with whom she enjoyed many happy years. Elsie previously lived at Vista Royale in White Rock and Sunnyside Manor in Surrey. She enjoyed coffee hours, outings and exercise classes. When poor health required her to move to Weatherby Pavilion, she enjoyed the wonderful staff who lovingly cared for her. Just weeks ago, she enjoyed a bike ride around White Rock with the recreational therapist. Elsie was also a long time member of the White Rock Drop in Center.

Elsie was predeceased by her husband Carl and her brothers Ed and Steve.

She is sadly missed by her dear friend Bertha Stevens, and will be lovingly remembered by many friends in South Surrey, White Rock, along with relatives in Saskatchewan and Norway.
