SAWATZKY, Elsie born December 25, 1943 in Granau, Germany, passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital on May 3, 2004. Predeceased by her mother, Lydia Gatzke, and survived by her loving husband Hans; daughters Heidi and Meliza; son-in-law Richard; and grandsons Carson and Jacob. The family wishes to thank the nurses and support staff at P.A.H. for their care and attention for Elsie over the years. A Celebration of the love and life of Elsie was held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Cloverdale. A Reception followed at Victory Memorial Park in South Surrey.
