Erica passed over on August 17, 2023, in the same manner she lived. With Courage, Humour and Compassion. She was held by her loving husband Ken, and cradling her little dog, Brandy. She was able to access MAID, hence her passing was an independent and peaceful one.
Erica was born in Burnaby, and lived in Windsor and Toronto, St. John's NFLD, North Vancouver and finally, White Rock.
Erica was employed as a Care Aid with Coastal Health prior to her diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis, and she worked in the North Vancouver community and Evergreen Care Facility. She once said that since she didn't have grandparents when she was growing up, this would be her opportunity to have many.
Erica was not one for ceremony, unless it was an excuse for Champagne. She will be missed by Ken, Brandy, her many Facebook friends and former co-workers.
Erica and Ken express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Wiebe, her MAID physician, Dr. Nayer, her Palliative Specialist, and the wonderful work of those at Pacific Lung Centre, especially Fran.
Erica requested people remember her in their own ways as there will be no service at this time.
In lieu of flowers and donations, please take this opportunity to tell your spouse, children or friends that you love them.
