Evelyn passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14th 2020 at 4:00pm with her family by her side. She was a devoted mother and nana, her world revolved around her five grandsons. Her zest for life and adventure never slowed down whether she was travelling the world, rowing on the Nikomekl River, cycling with friends, or attending fitness and yoga classes at the Sandcastle Gym. She was always the life of the party, had the innate ability to strike up a conversation and friendship at the drop of a hat. She will be missed by the many who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years Daryle, son James, daughters Alana, Danielle and Laura (Matthew), her five grandsons, Ryan, Luke, Adam, Michael and Ethan, her brothers Wes (Judy) and Jim (Susan), her sister-in-law Karen (Barry), many nephews and nieces and their children. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, Bart and Ethel Dillabough, and her in-laws Barney and Ollie Denomy.
Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the palliative team at the Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner, and the BC Cancer Agency. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Irene Thomas Hospice Society in Ladner.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
