SPEER, Evelyn May
April 29, 1930 - June 23, 2016
Evelyn May Speer passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 86 years. She was staying at the Foothills Country Hospice located on a beautiful acreage just outside of Calgary, Alberta. Ev will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Earl, and her children, Dave, John (daughter-in-law Erin) and Lynn (son-in-law Bill). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Dan, Shannon, Logan and Corinne. Evelyn was predeceased by her four brothers, Sandy, Glen, Don, Ron; her sister Marg; and another grandchild, Stacey. Evelyn was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and with her husband lived in several cities in Canada and the U.S., although they spent most of the last 30 years in the Vancouver area. They moved to Calgary in 2014 for second time to be close to their sons. A Family Service was held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate). A memorial plaque will be located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.
