Evelyn (nee Dunfield) passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2003. She is survived by Charles, her loving husband of almost 61 years; her daughters, Sharon Ellis (Ken); Marguerite Dodd (Les) and Wendy Robertson (Ted). She was a loving and proud grandmother to Chris, Deana, Cam, Samantha and Shanna; great -grandmother to Madyson, Omar and Sophia. She will be missed by her sister, Myrtle Wolfe, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Evelyn was born November 15, 1917 in Foxwarren, Manitoba; attended Winnipeg Normal School and taught until her marriage in 1942 - returning to teaching in Kenora 1964 - 1970. Family and music were her life-long loves. She shared her exceptionally beautiful voice and musical talents not just with her family but also conducting youth choirs, youth orchestras and singing in choirs in Pine Falls, Rivers, Kenora and White Rock where she resided for the past 32 years. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George St. White Rock, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C.
