Florence Mildred (Millie) Keith passed away suddenly on November 24, 2002, at the age of 97 at the Peace Arch Weatherby Extended Care Facility.
She is survived by seven children; Mable Doherty of White Rock, B.C., Norma McBeth of Barrhead, AB, June (Francis) Gillard of Tiger Lily, AB, Melvin (Mary) Keith of Hinton, AB, Caroline Borle of Richmond, B.C., Dorothy (Jules) Borle of Barrhead, AB, and Vern (Diane) Keith of White Rock, B.C. One sister, Esther Chapman of Rosetown, Sask, twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren, also many numerous other family members, friends and acquaintances.
Millie was predeceased by her loving husband Laban (1986), two sisters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Millie was born April 7, 1905 in Regina, Sask. and married Laban on November 17, 1927. They homesteaded and farmed in Tiger Lily, AB until 1956 when they moved to White Rock, B.C. Millie was a well known member of the White Rock community and will be greatly missed by everyone.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, B.C. , a reception followed.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation (Weatherby 1) would be greatly appreciated.
