September 11, 1932 - March 7, 2023
A mother and grandmother in every sense of those words, Frances Joan (Joanie) Eustis left this world on March 7th, 2023 at the age of 90 to join the love of her life, her late husband of 64 years, Robert Allan Eustis. Leaving behind a large family of daughters, sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister and brother, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Joan has blessed us with immense joy and laughter, and an unwavering ability to care deeply for those she loved.
She was born September 11, 1932, at Souris, Prince Edward Island. In her youth she loved baseball and driving fast cars. She also met and married the man of her dreams. In 1971, the Eustis family settled into the White Rock community where Joan began special friendships with her neighbours and became an official hockey mom. Beyond that, she was an accomplished income tax consultant. And when she retired, she enjoyed working at Costco as a food sample server (who always gave generous portions). She was also a dedicated Hospital Auxiliary volunteer, fundraising and baking for Peace Arch Hospital.
Joanie loved celebrating every occasion and holiday with festivities and a delicious feast. She also loved baking and would at a whim bake 10 dozen cookies and drop them off to friends, family, and coworkers.
She loved attending Garage Sales, mostly to connect with people; she was always so curious about their gardens, recipes, and crafts. Joan also loved playing cards, but truth be known, she may have cheated a tiny bit from time to time.
Thank you, Joanie for loving with all of your heart, giving everything you had, and celebrating each one of us in special ways.
