Also missing him are his brother John's family Lillian Ficek, nephew Paul (Helen) Ficek and niece Kathie Ficek (son Danny) all of Winnipeg, as well as many cousins but none more than Dave (Charlene) Hickson of Chilliwack BC.

Frank was born in Brandon and started working on the CPR at age 14 until his retirement at age 59. Work brought him East where he settled in Kenora Ontario and had many good years with the mother of his children Carla Delaney (Caron).

While in Kenora Frank was an avid outdoorsman and loved to be out hunting, trapping & fishing in and around the Lake of the Woods.

Going back to his roots he took great pride in his garden and fruit trees.

Frank took a crack at making beer and wine, his pints weren't always drinkable and soon fell by the wayside, however his craftsmanship of wine was top notch and the fruits of his labour are still enjoyed today.

In his earlier years Frank loved to play games...games on his co-workers, teasing his children, but more than anything he loved to play cards, and if you were his opponent you had better bring your A-Game!

During his career he regularly went to Winnipeg where he discovered almost every good and bad diner to eat at and could always recommend the best in each class.

Upon retirement he moved to White Rock where he took up travelling, having gone on many cruises and trips throughout Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean.

He kept in good communication with those back in the home land by regularly phoning us and reporting just how nice the weather is out there.

He was a gentleman that was well liked, well loved and well remembered.

As Frank would say 'Save your money on a card and go have a beer!'

There will be no service upon request and his ashes will be returned to Lake of the Woods, Kenora On.
