THOMPSON, Frank William was born June 4, 1926 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, the third child of Edith and Hugh Thompson. Frank lived in Alberta until moving to Toronto in 1950 to attend Lorne Green's school of Broadcasting. Frank was a broadcaster, writer, teacher and poet, and his radio career took him to Victoria, San Diego, Seattle, and Vancouver. He is survived by his daughter, Eva Munroe, grandson, Frank Hetzel, and great-granddaughter, Natasha Lane. Frank joined the Free Unitarian Church in Blaine, Washington in 1990, where he met the love of his life, Virginia Claymore. The two shared several happy years together before her death in 2009. When Frank's health began to fail, his daughter moved to Surrey to care for him. Frank was grateful for her loving care. Services were held at the Free Unitarian Church in Blaine, Washington, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 1pm.
