Fred was born on December 21, 1924 in Oldham, England.
He died November 19th, 2005 at the Weatherby Pavilion in White Rock from Alzheimer’s disease.
Fred was an avid bowler, winter curler, gardener, soccer player.
Beloved father and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife Rita, children April (James), Josephine (Erik) and Bill (Cheryl).
Grandchildren, Ryan, Joel, Christopher, Hanneke and Dayton.

Fred served in the Merchant Navy during WWII.
He was a proud member of the Monarch Lions Club, the Legion and the Boundary Bay Wildlife Society to name a few.
A man of quick wit, a chess player and writer of sonnets.
