June 7, 2004

September 27th, 1913 - June 7th, 2004. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Garnet (Ted) who left us early Monday morning, without much fuss as was his usual way of doing things.

Born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan and raised in Morse, Saskatchewan.

Garnet joined the Airforce soon after the war began and toured as a Navigator in the 428th Ghost Squadron in the RCAF out of Darlington, England.

Upon his return from the war, Garnet and his wife Antoinette moved to B.C. and he soon began working for Customs at the Peace Arch/Douglas Border Crossing, where he remained until his retirement in 1972.

Garnet is survived by his wife of 61 years, Antoinette, his two sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie, daughter Patricia(Jim), son Ken and grandchildren Jamie, Lindsay, Julia and Virginia.

A service was held at the Good Shepherd Church, 2250 - 150th St., Surrey on Friday, June 11,2004 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Garnet's favorite charity: The World Vision Charity www.worldvision.ca
