Gary was born in Imperial Saskatchewan on August 12, 1941. Gary grew up in the Prairies and moved to the West Coast in 1967. He met Darlene and they were married in 1969.
Gary and Darlene raised their young family of three boys in White Rock. Gary worked hard supporting his family working as a Stationary Engineer at the GVRD for over 30 years.
Many weekends and vacations were spent with their young family camping and fishing with both family and friends around BC in their RV.
Eventually the RV was sold, and a boat was bought in its' place. Darlene and Gary enjoy the many activities at the Crescent Beach Yacht Club. Many good times were spent cruising the Gulf Islands and up the coast of BC. In retirement, after selling the boat, a trailer was purchased, and they became snowbirds.
Married 54 years, Gary is survived by his wife Darlene, sons Gary Christopher (Renata), Trevor (Tara), Ryan (Lindsay) and three grandsons, Taylor, Jackson and Logan.
A Graveside Service will be held on June 21st at 2:00pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 14644 72 Ave, Surrey, BC.
