April 18, 1946 - August 1, 2020
Gary Wayne Speers of White Rock, BC passed away peacefully on August 1, 2020, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born to parents John and Ellen Speers on April 18, 1946, the youngest of three and the only son.
Gary was married to Karen for 39 years until her death on October 16, 2006. He was incredibly lucky to find love again with Jacqueline, who will forever be a part of our family.
Gary is survived by his sisters, Donna (Paul) and Bobby (Ed) and also his three children, Nathalie, Michelle, Sondra (Greg) and five grandchildren, Grace, Will, Ben, Nick, and Hannah. Gary was known for his love of motorcycles, good books, keeping things VERY tidy, marking all of his belongs with GWS in a black sharpie and an obsession with tiny things.
Gary was a lot of things and the short list is, a wonderful son, caring brother, loving husband, adoring father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He will be missed by many. Grampa had to head home to feed his chickens.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 1 pm at the Victory Memorial Funeral Home & Cemetery. Due to the ongoing health crisis, attendance is limited and will be by invitation only.
