IN MEMORIAM

Fox, George Anthony, September 23, 1920 – June 30, 2005.

Two years have passed since our beloved father was taken from us. He is deeply missed by his daughters, Barbara (Trevor) Smallwood and Linda Anne Fox, as well as his granddaughter, Tara. George enlisted in the British Merchant Navy 1940-41, hired by CP Air in 1942 as Control Tower Operator and then re-enlisted with RCAF 1944-45 Toronto, ON, holding rank Pilot Officer Navigator. He was employed by Trans Canada Airlines (Air Canada) in 1945 as Station Manager in Armstrong, ON , then North Bay, ON, London, ON, Cleveland, OH and lastly Winnipeg, MB, retiring in 1977 moving to White Rock, BC where he was elected President of Pionairs for a 2-yr. term. He was actively involved with Star of the Sea Parish, also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 8 as well as Kinsmen and Rotary Clubs. George was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 yrs., Mae Rose (June 24, 2001). They enjoyed a life of travel and many strolls along White Rock beach. George was an avid golfer at Grandview Golf Course, Custer WA and enjoyed his daily game with his pals for many years. He is lovingly remembered as a warm and gentle soul who loved his family and life. An extremely patient, generous and caring person. Both our parents are greatly missed and the pain and sorrow of their absence will never leave us.

A heart of gold stopped beating.

Hard working hands at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
