BUCHINSKAS, George born January 12, 1910 passed away peacefully on January 19, 2009. George was born in Vianutas, Lithuania, and came to Canada, December 1929. He spent most of his working life farming in the Spirit River area of the Peace River Country in Alberta. George and Dora retired to White Rock in 1972 where they enjoyed the outdoors, bowling, gardening and traveling. George is lovingly remembered by his wife Dora of 70 years, daughter Doris (Ed) Wlad of Surrey, son Gary (Ina) Buchinskas of Fox Creek, AB, 4 grandchildren: Russell (Carolyn) Wlad of Red Deer, Deanna (Richard) Beighle of Anchorage, Alaska, Kandel (Josh) Vick of Edson, AB, Theodore Buchinskas of Toronto; 7 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends in Canada and Lithuania. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC.
