CLAYTON, George Jr. passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC on Friday, April 27, 2007. George was born on April 17, 1921 to George and Violet Clayton of McGregor Manitoba. Preceded by his parents, brother Charles and sister Mary Paxton.
George leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years Bella, his daughter Linda August of Kelowna, grandson Shaun August, wife Jean and one month old great grandson Kieran, grandson Scott August, sister-in-law Grace Clayton, nephews, niece and great nephews and niece. George served as a pilot during WW2. He spent many years in the construction supply business working for Evans Coleman, Britalta Construction, The Peddler People and Synkoloid among others. An avid golfer, George served a term as president of the Vancouver Golf Club. He was also a president of the Vancouver Construction Association. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
